Ingredients

  • 2 whole fryers, cooked and shredded
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 ¼ cups ketchup
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp hot pepper sauce

Cooking Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a 3-quart slow cooker or Dutch oven. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours (slow cooker) or simmer 1 ½ hours (Dutch oven). Serve on your favorite bun.
